International Accreditation

INTERNATIONAL ACCREDITATION

International Accreditation aims to provide international standards for Degree programs in designing and implementing an outcome-based learning system (OBE-Outcome Based Education). This International Accreditation focuses on standardizing graduates' abilities by evaluating the achievement of outcomes in the degree program. International accreditation has numerous advantages, including serving as a guarantee of higher education quality in the eyes of the international public, obtaining recognition of the equality of competences of graduates of Degree programs with recognized international standards, and bridging the criteria for the ability of graduates produced with the abilities of graduates required by the market/work world.

Maranatha Christian University has previously participated in International Accreditation for four degree programs: (1) Bachelor Program in Accounting and Management: AQAS; (2) Bachelor Program in Interior Design: AQAS; (3) Faculty of Medicine: ASIIN.

AQAS (Agency for Quality Assurance through Accreditation of Study Programs) is an independent organisation accredited by the German Accreditation Council (GAC) since 2001. It is therefore a notified body for the accreditation of higher education institutions and programmes in Germany. AQAS is also a full member of the European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA) and listed in the European Quality Assurance Register for Higher Education (EQAR) which confirms that our procedures comply with a common set of principles for quality assurance in Europe.

Since then it has provided expert support to German and international universities in the implementation of accreditation procedures on the programme and institutional level. It is a leader nationally and internationally in the accreditation of programmes in engineering, the natural sciences, mathematics, computer sciences as well as in medicine and economics.
